Watercolor Landscapes January 3, 2009 This is the best book I have seen for the intermediate water color artist. Excellent detailed help.

Great book! October 30, 2008 The book is fun to read because of the author's sense of humor but is also very informative. His illustrations are great and I love his paintings, beautiful, with all the qualities I love about watercolors. They inspire me to try to develop my talent further so that some day I could, maybe do as well. (Almost?)
Just what I needed October 21, 2008 I have been interested in painting water in acrylic and watercolor and this book was very helpful. Explains in detail how to paint various types of water, such as calm water, rapids, waves, foam, and best of all, how to "look through water," to make fish and rocks look like they are under the water, rather than on top of the water. It gave me just enough detailed information to accomplish the task, and not so much that I got bogged down. Discussion of growth patterns of different types of trees will also help me make sense of tree forms. The "sketchy" style of the book is refreshing and different from other watercolor how-to books. A great addition to my painting library.
Excellent Book! June 11, 2008 This is really a must-have. Very detailed in a clear and direct language. Excellent for every level of watercolor painters!
