Product Description
Jim Marrs can justifiably be considered the world’s leading conspiracy author, with multimillion bestsellers like Alien Agenda, Rule by Secrecy, and the book that Oliver Stone used as a basis for his JFK movie, Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy. Now Marrs has allied with the web’s most popular conspiracy forum to investigate everything from chemtrails to the Nazis’ Antarctic base, moon landing hoaxes to UFOs, God as an alien to the end of the world in 2012. AboveTopSecret.com is the Internet’s largest and most popular discussion board community, with more than twelve million page views per month. It is dedicated to the intelligent exchange of ideas and debate on a wide range of “alternative topics” such as conspiracies, UFOs, paranormal, secret societies, political scandals, new world order, terrorism, and dozens of related topics. AboveTopSecret’s popular podcast is downloaded tens of millions of times per month. Marrs brings his rigorous journalist’s credentials to bear on these topics and more, asking (and often answering) the essential who, what, when, where, why, and how questions in compelling, page-turning fashion. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Jim Marrs has worked for several Texas newspapers, including the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. After a leave of absence to serve with Fourth Army intelligence during the Vietnam War, he became a military and aerospace writer for the newspaper and an investigative reporter. Since 1980, Marrs has been a freelance writer, author, and frequently invited public speaker.

excellent read December 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
another well thought out, excellent book. this is a really easy and informative book. the book is divided up into various chapters on various topics such as 911, roswell, kennedy assassination, etc. all the chapters are independent of each other, so you don't have to read the book cover to cover. you can skip around and read what interests you, which hopefully will be the whole book. at the beginning of each chapter has a "who, what, where, when and why" synapsis which tells you what to look for in it. the chapters are short, 8 pages or so. all and all, another excellent book by jim. reading this will definately broaden your horizons on the matter of conspiracy. enjoy!
A doorway to another world November 26, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Delve deeply into the conspiracy theories of the Internet by reading this book! For anyone that has even as much as questioned the version of history that they have been told, this book should serve as a great introduction into the vast amount of information available online. What was truly valuable about this book was the broad range of topics covered, from the JFK assassination to the Roswell UFO crash. The presentation of both the theories and factual information known about such cases are presented and only cause the reader to want to know more. This book should be seen as doorway into the truly expansive community that Above Top Secret represents. Do not pass this up if you've ever bother to stop and think to yourself, is there more to this than what I've been told?
Interesting book with factual errors. November 18, 2008 8 out of 17 found this review helpful
While I enjoy and appreciate the work of Jim Marrs, and have read most of his published books, I have had a growing concern about the less than accurate nature of some of his statements and claims. This has nothing to do with the larger issues with which he deals, but with certain minor issues connected to them and what appears to be poor research. For example, on a radio interview in the Summer of 2008, Marrs made the statement that Richard Nixon was a Mormon (he was not, he was a Quaker). Marrs' book on secret societies (Rule By Secrecy) contains more than a few inaccuracies concerning Freemasonry. In his newest book, Above Top Secret, on page 143, Marrs refers to David Ferrie (Kennedy assasination) as a "defrocked Jesuit priest." This, as with the other examples, is an error of fact. Ferrie attended several Catholic seminaries but there is no record of his ever being ordained a Jesuit priest in the Roman Catholic Church. He was, however, reportedly ordained a priest (and later defrocked) in an independent, Old Catholic Church not connected with the Roman Church. One finds errors like this throughout Marrs' writings and while they are, to some extent minor, they raise questions as to the overall value of Marrs' work and research. He is certainly capable of better work and research than this (see his excellent book on the Kennedy assasination, Crossfire) and his readers desrve better.
Right To The Heart Of The Matter~! November 17, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Mr. Marrs does not disappoint. These are some of the biggest conspiracy topics of the day, that are well defined, well documented, that WILL make you think more deeply about our current lives. If you read this book first before any other of Mr. Marrs' work, it's a great introduction. The only question remains, what next? You know Mr. Marrs, I've heard you speak of NASA using Astrology for space launches, so perhaps it would be good to see a book on Astrology, Numerology, and the Tarot, in one well researched volume showing how they might have impacted us yesterday, today, and in the future. I do believe that they all interconnect anyway. How about it? I look forward to your future works~!

Having read the book and having the pleasure with my partner, Johnny Anonymous with the ATS MIX Show, interview Jim Marrs.... I can tell you that this is a MUST READ for those that want answers to the questions that have always nagged you and made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. There are numerous conspiracies in the world and this book is an excellent FIRST STEP for those who have always wanted an INSIDERS VIEW.
