Even PS users who've managed to become proficient on their own will most likely benefit from the tutorials in all of the Adobe "Classroom in a Book" series. Beginners definitely will learn faster and make fewer mistakes along the way. Well worth the investment in time and money. Do try to get the CIB for the correct version even though earlier copies will help.

The classroom in a book series is excellent. The CD included has PhotoShop as well as all of your lesson files. This book isn't your "sit bored out of your head reading" type. It is hands on and very well organized, perfect for anyone new to PhotoShop or even for somewhat experienced users wanting to brush up or learn new techniques.

Amazingly, this book gives step by step details on how to learn to use Photoshop. I was not born into the computer generation, and I can work my way through these instructions easily and grasp the concepts of how and when to use the tools. It is fun!!!!
