5 out of 5 stars Great   August 11, 2010
RAY
This book really explains all the processes to capture and process HDR photos and shows examples using different processes. It also shows the settings used to product the examples shown in the book.

5 out of 5 stars Finally, Some Insight   August 2, 2010
Walter S. Harris (Greensboro, NC USA)
Now I can come closer to the results I wanted because now I have a better idea of what each of the sliders and check-boxes actually do.

4 out of 5 stars Practical Review to Practical HDR   August 2, 2010
Mark A. Ward
Hello!!!
I like this book overall. It does get a little techinical at times, but it includes key points like applying the curve tool from Photoshop to Photomatix in order to give more contrast to the HDR. It is a good source book.

3 out of 5 stars High Dynamic Range Photo images   July 29, 2010
George H. Seidel (Chula Vista, CA USA)
This is an excellent book for those interested in HDR photos. The lowered star rating is because I did not like many of the overly exagerated images with stormy skies. I doubt that I will spend much time making HDR range photos.

4 out of 5 stars Good book and info, but filled with too many pretty photos   July 18, 2010
R. Basmajian (New York, NY)
LIKES:
There is a good deal of info in this book with respect to various HDR programs, such as Photomatix and Photoshop, and how to use these applications to create decent HDR photos.

DISLIKES:
There are too many photos in this book that, while impressive, offer no insight into how they were taken or how they were processed using any of the tools mentioned in the book. You can show me 1000 impressive HDR photos but without any info into how the shot was composed and how it was processed it won't make me a better photographer, and that's where this book suffers.
